Pastries, pastas, pizzas…Paris! Now take that and add bagels?!? Yea no.

Again, let’s start with the positive. Everything in French is just classier. Someone has to say it…actually a lot of people say this and they are right. A simple ham and cheese sandwich - which in America sounds like a simple and boring lunchables kit - but in Paris…it’s not a ham and cheese sandwhich…but a Croque Monsieur. This wonderfully simple, elegant, and intentional panini like pressed sandwich is any ASMR fanatics dream and a foodie’s perfect snack. 

While I applaud The Smiths attempt at a New York style lox bagel, I don’t recommend wasting your budgeted Paris money on a bagel…unless you like your spread on dense and cakey bread…and with no spread at all. Would you pair lox and capers with vanilla cake? Yea, me neither - so let’s avoid the bagles here at The Smiths.

Side note: a savory vanilla cake though…someone HMU to figure that out lol.
